Mexico’s industrial production remained stable in June compared to the same period in 2016, as the increase in manufacturing output offset the weak performance of the mining and utilities sectors.
Production in the mining industry decreased by 7.6% in June from a year before, while the electricity, water, and gas segment had a 0.9% fall in output.
The construction sector production remained stable, while the manufacturing companies increased their output by 2.7%.
On a monthly basis, Mexican industrial output in June grew by 0.1% in real terms, before seasonal adjustment.
