Set Forth Data Breach Exposes Personal Information: Murphy Law Firm Investigates Legal Claims

Set Forth, Inc. partners with financial service providers, including Centrex, Inc., to offer online account administration services to consumers enrolled in debt relief programs. On May 21, 2024, Set Forth detected suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Based on a subsequent forensic investigation, Set Forth determined that cybercriminals infiltrated its inadequately secured computer environment and thereby gained access to its data files. The investigation further determined that, through this infiltration, cybercriminals potentially accessed and acquired files containing the sensitive personal information of approximately 1,500,000 individuals. The information exposed in the data breach includes, but is not limited to:

• Names
• Social Security numbers
• Dates of birth
• Addresses
