Roslyn Harte, Intimate Apparel Vet, Dies at 94

Roslyn Harte passed away on Dec. 20 at the age of 94.
Harte, an intimate apparel designer well-known in the industry as Roz, was buried next to her husband, Harold Harte, at the United Hebrew Cemetery in Staten Island.
Harte joined the Underfashion Club Inc. in 1969 when it was a women’s-only organization with less than 30 members. She previously served as an officer, board member and co-chair of the program committee and an active participate of the SAIG committee. She received a lifetime achievement FEMMY award in 1997.
“Roz Harte was the heart and soul of the Underfashion Club,” said Tina Wilson, vice president and creative director at HUE Brands, and president of The Underfashion Club. “Her passion and dedication contributed to furthering the education of countless students throughout the years.  She never slowed down, always participating and pushing us all to be better. It is hard to find the words to describe how much we will miss her, she touched us all deeply.”
Harte, who was born on Oct. 31, 1924 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, was also involved in Project Help Us Give, which was formerly named the Intimate Apparel Square Club. Harte grew up in Brooklyn and nabbed
