The U.S. personal income and spending data for September is due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While it rose against the franc, it dropped against the pound. Against the euro and the yen, it held steady.
The greenback was worth 1.2967 against the pound, 104.44 against the yen, 0.9162 against the franc and 1.1674 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
