Nokia has announced a strategic reorganization of its Corporate Affairs division by creating two distinct functions: Geopolitics and Government Relations, and Communications.Mikko Hautala, previously Finland’s ambassador to the United States, will take on the role of Chief Geopolitical and Government Relations Officer. He will also join the Group Leadership Team starting November 1, 2024.The company has elevated Louise Fisk to the position of Chief Communications Officer, with her appointment to the Group Leadership Team taking effect immediately. Meanwhile, Melissa Schoeb, the current Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, will be departing from the company by December 31, 2024. She has stepped down from the Group Leadership Team with immediate effect.Additionally, Jenni Lukander, the President of Nokia Technologies, has announced her departure, effective December 31, 2024, and has also stepped down from the Group Leadership Team.To fill the gap, Patrik Hammaren, who presently serves as Chief Licensing Officer for Wireless Technologies, will temporarily lead Nokia Technologies.
