Poland’s average gross wages rose more-than-expected in December, data from Statistics Poland showed on Tuesday.
Average gross wages and salaries rose 6.2 percent year-on-year in December. Economists had expected a 6.1 percent increase.
On a monthly basis, average gross wages grew 7.2 percent in December.
Average paid employment rose 2.6 percent annually in December and remained unchanged from the preceding month.
During the January to December period, average gross wages and salaries rose 6.5 percent. Average paid employment increased 2.7 percent.
