Romania’s producer prices surged in July, marking the fastest increase in over a year, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics.The producer price index rose by 2.6 percent year-over-year in July, up from a 1.1 percent increase in June. This represents the highest inflation rate since June of the previous year, when prices had climbed by 3.7 percent.Domestic market prices increased by 2.7 percent annually in July, while prices in the foreign market saw a 2.5 percent rise.Breaking it down by main industrial groups, capital goods experienced the highest price increase at 5.5 percent annually in July.
