The euro area private sector continued to contract in February, albeit at a slower than previously estimated pace, final data from IHS Markit showed on Wednesday. The final composite output index rose to 48.8 in February from 47.8 in January. The reading was above the flash 48.1 but the score below 50 indicates contraction.
