House Price Index YoY in the United Kingdom increased to 8.10 percent in October from 7.40 percent in September of 2021. House Price Index YoY in the United Kingdom averaged 6.44 percent from 1984 until 2021, reaching an all time high of 34.50 percent in October of 1988 and a record low of -16.80 percent in February of 2009. The Halifax House Price Index is the UK’s longest running monthly house price series with data covering the whole country going back to January 1983. From this data, a “standardized” house price is calculated and property price movements on a like -for-like basis (including seasonal adjustments) are analyzed over time.
