The Ministry of Finance reported on Thursday that Japan achieved a current account surplus of 1.533 trillion yen in June, marking a 0.9 percent increase from the previous year. This figure, however, fell short of the anticipated 1.790 trillion yen surplus and followed a 2.850 trillion yen surplus recorded in May.Imports increased by 3.4 percent year-on-year, amounting to 8.612 trillion yen. Exports, on the other hand, experienced a 5.9 percent annual rise, reaching 9.169 trillion yen, which resulted in a trade surplus of 556.3 billion yen.The capital account registered a deficit of 53.6 billion yen, while the financial account experienced a shortfall of 1.716 trillion yen.The material has been provided by InstaForex Company – www.instaforex.com
