Hyatt Hotels Corp. announced Tuesday that it will eliminate small bottles of toiletries like shampoo and lotion, and reduce the number of single-use plastic water bottles by June 2021. Instead, the company will switch to large-format bathroom items, create additional water stations for guests with reusable water bottles and serve water in carafes and other containers at events. The company has also recently removed plastic straws and drink picks, making them available only by request. Marriott International Inc. and Carnival Corp. have made similar steps to reduce plastic use.
