Inflation is the number one issue for voters in midterm elections on Tuesday, according to exit polling conducted by Edison Research for CNN and other news networks. About one-third of those surveyed listed inflation as the main issue influencing their vote, while 27% cited abortion as their top issue. The polling found a stark partisan divide between those who listed inflation and those who listed abortion as their number one issue. Nearly half of voters who supported a Republican House candidate said inflation was their top issue and about 44% of those supporting a Democratic House candidate listing abortion.
