The reports cover mobile apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, as well as Connected TV (CTV) apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Samsung Smart TV stores.
The reports highlight the estimated top-grossing apps in open programmatic advertising revenue for mobile and CTV apps. - Mobile: ‘SimCity BuildIt’ led ($226K estimated open programmatic ad revenue) on the Google Play Store, and ‘Vita Mahjong’ ($161K estimated open programmatic ad revenue) was No. 1 on the Apple App Store
- CTV: ‘VIX: TV’ led on Roku ($399K estimated open programmatic ad revenue), Amazon Fire TV ($68K estimated open programmatic revenue), and Samsung Smart TV ($27K estimated open programmatic ad revenue)
Brazil
- Mobile: ‘Candy Crush Saga’ ($11K estimated open programmatic ad revenue) led on the Apple App Store, and ‘Stumble Guys’ was No. 1 ($416K estimated open programmatic ad revenue) in the Google Play Store
In April 2025, Pixalate’s data science team analyzed 25 billion global open programmatic impressions from 6 million mobile apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For this research, Pixalate also examined 6,000 CTV apps and 2 billion global ad impressions across various platforms, including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung Smart TV.
