In March 2025, Kyrgyzstan witnessed an 18.3% year-on-year surge in industrial production, an improvement from the 17.7% increase seen in February. This represents the most significant growth in industrial activity since the previous September. The rise was primarily fueled by a marked increase in manufacturing output, which jumped by 27.6%, and a 19.9% boost in the water supply sector. However, the mining and quarrying sector experienced a downturn, decreasing by 3.8%, alongside a 10.9% reduction in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning. Overall, for the first quarter of 2025, industrial production climbed by 16.3% compared to the corresponding period in the prior year.
