- Supports Friedman’s increased visibility in the capital markets and potential for increased trading volume
- Follows the Company’s transfer to Nasdaq listing in April 2025
- Index inclusion effective June 30, 2025
LONGVIEW, Texas, June 30, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Friedman Industries, Incorporated (NASDAQ/GS: FRD), a leading manufacturer and processor of steel products, today announced that it has been added as a member of the broad-market Russell 3000® Index as part of the 2025 reconstitution of Russell indexes. The Company’s inclusion is effective after the US market opens on June 30, 2025 and continues for one year until consideration in the next reconstitution. “Inclusion in major indexes aligns with our efforts to increase market visibility and attract more investor capital to support Friedman’s growth and long-term equity value,” said Michael Taylor, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We took an important first step earlier this year by listing on Nasdaq to enhance trading liquidity, increase institutional ownership, and improve capital inflows.”
Membership in the Russell 3000® Index means automatic inclusion in the small-cap Russell 2000® Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies.
