In April 2025, Norway’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate slightly decreased to 4.3%, down from 4.4% in March, which was a fourteen-month peak. The number of unemployed individuals dropped by 3,000, bringing the total to 131,000 for the month. Concurrently, the employment rate experienced a minor increase, rising from 69.2% in March to 69.3% in April, with an additional 6,000 people employed, raising the total to 2.887 million. The labor force participation rate saw a marginal rise from 72.4% to 72.5%. Furthermore, youth unemployment, referring to job-seekers aged 15 to 24, improved to 13.1%, down from 14% in the previous period.
