TORONTO, July 26, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — PIMCO Canada Corp. (“PIMCO Canada”), the manager of the PIMCO Canadian Total Return Bond Fund (the “Fund”), today announced several changes affecting the Fund.
Effective August 16, 2024, the name of the Fund will be changed to PIMCO Canadian Core Bond Fund. In addition:
- the management fee payable with respect to Series F units will be reduced from 0.50% to 0.29%;
- the management fee payable with respect to Series A units will be reduced from 1.00% to 0.79%;
- Series O and Series M units will be redesignated as Series A and Series F units, respectively; and
- the Fund will create exchange-traded fund series units (the “ETF Series Units”), and has applied to list the ETF Series Units (TSX: CORE) on the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”).
Listing of the ETF Series Units is subject to the approval of the TSX in accordance with its original listing requirements. The TSX has not conditionally approved the listing application and there is no assurance that the TSX will approve the listing application. Subject to receiving conditional approval and satisfying the TSX’s original listing requirements with respect to the ETF Series Units of the Fund, and a receipt being issued for an amended and restated simplified prospectus offering the ETF Series Units of the Fund by the securities regulatory authorities, the ETF Series Units of the Fund will be listed on the TSX on or about August 16, 2024.
