Housing data provider CoreLogic late on Thursday downgraded its initial estimate of losses from Hurricane Florence to $3-5 billion. The company says 250,000 homes are at risk. Its new analysis takes into account Florence’s status as a Category 2 storm, but it also notes that some counties in the path of the storm will experience Category 1 levels of damage. However, the analysis does not take into account the possibility of inland flooding.
